At the Omaha show tonight and some other summer shows this summer its been a good tune. Do you think American Baby Intro is going to evolve into its own song w/ different title. B/c tonight in Omaha it was sweet and could very well stand on its own!

It is its own song. They don't always play it into American Baby and some people refer to it as "What She Said".

I think he might be talking about the song possibly evolving into something with more extensive lyrics that what it has now, and with an official title of something other than AB Intro. correct me if im wrong, lbacker.

but to answer the original question, no, i don't really think it is going to evolve in anyway, nor do i think it needs to. its awesome the way it is for me.

It needs more than four chords IMO, even a simple bridge would make it alot better, just something to break up the

I suppose so... but i think it's cool and unique the way it is.. simple is good. How long were some of the later versions over the summer?

I have never seen dave scream like he did last night during this song. I thought he was gonna burst a blood vessel. Yah, i know its it's own 'song' but it's identified as an intro to a song, and thats kinda weak b/c in MN, he played the intro but didn't play American Baby. Unless DMB has a message with playing AMerican baby intro before american baby, it dosen't need to be played before AB. I agree, It does need a bridge, or somesort or breakdown.

if a something is identified as an intro to 'something'..it should be followed shortly by the 'the thing' or.......

They can name a song whatever they want and play whatever they want at a show, in whatever order. As they've shown the song does well just on its own.

Yeah, i def. dig the song(i mean intro?) Just pisses me off that dave has succsessfully used his patented "dave chords" in every possible way. No chance in hell i'll be able write something now

Its just single notes, no chords. So B, D, F#, and G.
