STAY OR LEAVE

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

STAY OR LEAVE

Post by rmilioni »

Hello all,

I´ve been trying to play Stay or leave without the Capo, but I just want to be sure about the tuning.

Is it possible to raise the E string to B???? It is 3,5 tons to get to the B. My doubt is regarding the tension on the guitar neck and head stock.

Does Dave uses this tuning?

Thanks a lot

Just to expand on what Swede said, it's called Raised B tuning, and it requires a special arrangement of strings - you were right to think that you can't just tune up to it.

Hey! Thank you very much for the answer. I just thought about that and the extra guitar will be nice.

However, for the moment, I´ll use the capo.
