Maybe he'll come back with a swinin' axle rose voice and beat the hell out of halloween :D

I smoke about three cigs a day and about two bowls(yes, of weed) a day and i still find my singing voice to be ......well, par. I'm sure dave is smart enough to take enough care of his voice if he plans to sing in the future.

It sounds a ton better with just dave and tim.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

He seems to not be smart enough. His voice has been changing (for the worse, imho) over the years. It's changed in more ways that would normally occur within the realm of a person maturing. You can tell he smokes too much (cigarettes) and it's especially evident when he tries to hit high notes these days.

I know exactly what you're talking about...I notice it the most in more recent versions of Ants (excluding Central Park, where he actually nails the high note without going into falsetto). He sure can't sing it like he could 10 years ago, that's for sure.

That's what happens when you're a performing artist and you put a lot of emotion into singing your songs. Maybe there's a little blame to go to this, but I don't think too many cigarettes is to blame completely.

and what happens when you do extensive summer tours for almost 15 years in a row, not to mention winter tours, dave and tim/friends tours, etc. he hardly gets to rest his voice anymore. of course it's going to take a beating after awhile. just look at dylan. it's called aging.
hosting the oscars is like winning the heisman trophy. no matter how you do in the ballgame, or whatever, they can't take it away from you. and even if you kill your wife and an ex-waiter, they still have a hard time taking it away from you

Dylan isn't really a valid comparison...he smokes like a chimney, or at least did for a long time. The kind of damage you sustain from doing that is irreprable.
