How old is pat the kid with the videos he looks young

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Lessons are overrated. I actually wish I had them, but I am so proud for how well I have come along without them.

Pat,
Obviously you are very talented on the guitar....and you acheived that level before you started lessons. Could you expand a little on why you decided to take lesssons, and how have they helped you since you started taking them?
Thanks and Peace,
Danny

I'm guessing it helps to get over a slump. Also, I think there's only so much you can teach yourself until you lose motivation and end up feeling stagnant.

I'd be interested in what Pat has to say cause I'm considering lessons too.

I started lessons mainly to help figure out why I knew what I knew. (if that makes sense.) I also wanted to improve my composition. I just wanted to take what I knew in my head and figure it all out.

Lessons have helped me. However, I have lacked entusiasm at times. Sometimes I don't put forth the effort that I need to, which kinda sucks because my teacher is such an incrediably well rounded musician. He's possibly the most musically knowledgable person I will ever meet. Blows me away every time.

So in short, lessons have helped me, but I feel that I could have learned more over the past 9 months than I did. I will say that if you do decide to take lessons - don't take it lightly. Practice at home, and really put effort into it.

Massive Contradiction.

But from what ive heard from everyone else, lessons sound really productive, I think i may do them in the new year. You guys think?
