if you want to get more of a sound like Clapton style, go for a strat
if you want to get more of a sound like Bruce, go for the tele

I prefer a strat(thats what I have) 9 times out of ten.
But my old friend had a hollow body telecaster that sounded absolutely fucking amazing. Great sound, and great playability. Go play one of each at your local guitar shop's practice room for about a week, then buy a used one somewhere else.

but who the hell relates the tele sound to bruce springsteen? he isn't really know for his guitar playing...

never liked the BOSS...nor his E-Street Band...I mean if it takes 11 people on stage to make the sound of a trio, then you are missing something

I like Bruce's "ballad" writing...outside of that...Born to Run is BORED to run in my book...
