bit torrent downloading need help badly..

hey everyone...im new to bit torrent dwlng nd was wondering if neone can help me out...ive ben geting my shows from the shn server at ants.org but that shit has ben dwn for months now...recently i started using bit torrent..but....it does not seem to worj right....half wat thru each song the damn file cuts off and stops...and like doesnt play...and then..that bt.org shit...i dwnloaded flac frontened...and uploaded the d+t show that gianni posted and it said error only ogg and flac can b decoded..i am totally lost..please help me.

wen have u tried to help me dmbfallow....i have no pms from u nor ne emails so who r u fooling...i cant figure it out...for some reason...the bt torrent files are corrupted....half way in the middle of the song they fuck up...also...i tired to dwnlod flac frontend nd it said only supports flac files and ogg...wen i dnwloaded the d_t show it said it was a flac file i dont kno y its not working

Please. Use full words. Also, only one period is neccesary at the end of sentences. <-- See?

Go here to download the flac plugin for Winamp. Then you can at least play the files in Winamp. Do a search for file converters so you can convert the flacs to a more "convenient" file type, like .wav or .mp3. Use some common sense and some detective work to find what you need.

uhh periods? common man its a period not a tragedy...thats not the problem..evrytime i download a bit torrent show, it appears on my desktop as a white icon with a window within it. nd then i try to play it but it says chose program please. then i pick itunes and it doesnt work. also, i downloaded flac frontend nd tried to decode it, and it said only flac files and ogg can b decoded. also, the bit torrent shows i got, half way thru a song it cuts off and screws up. r u saying that once i download the bit torrent to dnwload winamp and play it there?

thats your first problem - a bit torrent file doesn't play through iTunes - and if that wasn't what you meant, then a flac file still doesn't - go to http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm and make sure you download the flac codec - that will convert your flac files into a format that you can play through iTunes - hope that helped

haha, go to: http://www.bittornado.com/ dl that program

Then open that program, and find that file, select it and run it.

We'll need a lot of specific details about your computer, router (if any) if your on a college campus, etc. Try that, let us know.

you have a torrent file - jayme above has a link to a torrent program - a torrent isn't the actual music you play, it connects you to a small network where everyone uploads and downloads the files from each other - once your torrent finishes, you will have a bunch of .flac files - those DO NOT play in iTunes, you will need to convert them - not a big deal, just an extra step

no for some rason i dl wat u said about that bit torrent thing but wenever i try to install it, itunes opens up..and its a green i con with a quator note in it..wtf is happenng man im so lost

Alright, I'll try to explain this as best I can.

Step 1: Don't take that tone with me, noob. Settle down, Beavis. Take a deep breath and relax. You can do this.

Step 2: Download a Bit Torrent program. I use BitTorrent. Download the latest release.

Step 3: Install BitTorrent to your machine. Your .torrent files should now look like a little white square with a blue dot in the middle.

Step 4: Double-click the file. BitTorrent will open up and an empty progress bar will appear in the interface.

Step 5: Right-click in the bar and a small menu will appear.

Step 6: Choose "Download now"

Step 7: Wait. Your file is now downloading. Go for a bike ride, take a nap, have lunch, or anything else to occupy your time. Shows in .flac format are usually large so it will take a while depending on your connection and how many people are seeding the show. If your speeds are very slow there is a thread with suggestions for tweeking BT. Find it and read it. My default settings work well, so hopefully yours will, too.

Step 8: Use one of the programs mentioned above to either listen to your show in .flac format through Winamp, or to convert the flies to .wav so you can burn it or listen to it in Winamp or WMP without a plugin.

Step 9: Enjoy (Finally!)
