12 string songs

Post by shaggy »

After putting a lot of thought into it, i decided i was going to buy a 12 string guitar to mess around with, and also i fell in love with them the first time i picked up one. So eventually, I got a beautiful Taylor 355 jumbo 12 string with african mahogony back/sides and the great feel of the ebony fretboard for an excellent price. Sorry if that seems off topic to my question, but I'd damned not to be proud of that shit  . Well anyways, i know the dave songs on the 12 pretty well and a few others in rock cuz i play a lot of different types of things, but could anyone give me a brief list of some good/fun rock songs that are also played on the 12 by some other bands or people.

thanks bros

i mean you can turn basically any song into a 12er song. I like to play songs that just have basic chords, it makes things sound more full.

i listen to all 3 of them occasionally, can you give me some of the songs? I know 'Fool in the Rain' has a 12 string acoustic on it.

Wild Horses
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Keller Williams

Keller uses 10 strings though, he just takes the 2nd high E and B strings off to make it 10 strings

if i remember correctly, i think Clapton uses a 12 string to play San Francisco Bay blues on the unplugged cd.

also I always loved the sound of metallica's fade to black riff on the 12 too ...

The Tea Party - Winter solstice (not sure they use a 12 but sounds cool)
