best of what's around verse

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Code: Select all

the first part with the sevens and fives...

E:--------------
B:--------------
G:------5---5---
D:-/7-7---7---7-
A:--------------
E:--------------

instead of that, what i hear, and play is

E:------------------
B:------------------
G:------5---5-5---5-
D:-/7-7---7-----7---
A:------------------
E:------------------

anybody else hear that? or play it that way? i've listened to a few different versions, so at least i dont think i'm crazy

yep...you're right. but come on...you can't really count how many times dave is hitting that note. the way i play it, i play all three notes (with the A bass as the third) at the same time after the initial slide.

I just strum it and it sounds fine. Better than individually picking the notes.

nitpicking...

Dave doesnt always play every song the exact same way. These tabs are a basic guideline on the way he plays them. He might imbellish or change things up a little from time to time. If you hear something (like one note) a little different, then by all means, play it that way, or however youd like.
