Recording a DMB concert

I do alot of recording and stuff so im thinking about recording the concert at the kohl center. I would rather not lugg mic's over there (i dont even know if you can do that????), can you hook up through their sound board or something? I guess what i really need to know are the legal issues. do i need a special pass or something? Any and all info. would be appritiated being that i have never done this before. thanks guys.

I can tell you that you CAN NOT hook into their soundboard.

just show up. i hvaen't done dmb but i've done other stuff with no issues. microphone>preamp>laptop, but i don't own a minidisc. there are other, easier ways to do it with a MD player.

I'm looking at the kohl center site right now... All i know is the last time i went there i remember seeing a big sign that said what you could NOT bring in and one of them was recording equipment. I know DMB alows ppl. to record concerts but i dont know about the venue...

I've been wanting to get into taping for a little bit now and have been doing a lot of homework on it.

I did but i will probably take the bus now, the bus from beloit to UW stops about half a mile from the Kohl center and i think to ride both ways is $14. I can't believe i didnt think of the bus sooner.
