Classical Gas, Hendrix, etc ..

Hey guys, this is a question directed at the better guitar players on the board ...

Recently Ive been trying to play a lot of Hendrix and Classical Gas. Since all of Hendrix songs are pretty hard, as is Classical Gas, I was wondering how long it took you guys to learn those songs, particularly "little wing" and "castles made of sand".

When I first started playing that sort of stuff, a while (maybe a week or so for something like little wing). Years later now it's more like an afternoon or so. The important part when learning a new song is to take each part of the song really slowly, get your timing absolutely perfect and only then start speeding it up towards full speed.
