Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away
A year back Rolling Stone did the Top 500 songs ever. While it covers more decades, it is so much more accurate, though not flawless by any means. And no DMB. Check it here:
1. Like A Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan
2. (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones
3. Imagine - John Lennon
4. What's Goin On? - Marvin Gaye
5. Respect - Aretha Franklin
6. Good Vibrations - The Beach Boys
7. Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry
8. Hey Jude - The Beatles
9. Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
10. What'd I Say - Ray Charles

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": The food court is downstairs. The cookie stand is upstairs. It's not like we're talking quantum physics here.
The only thing I'd 86 from that list is the beach boys.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": "I once saw this in a movie, it was about a bus that had to keep it's "speed" above 50, and if it's "speed" dropped, it would explode...I think it was called "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down"!
see, thats what is wrong with the music industry today, and in my humble opinion...it's whats wrong with the world, I think it's time we killed off all these britany spears people, I really think the world would be a better place

I think it's really because of how Good Vibrations was made and how complicated of a song it is. It's kind of like how Citizen Kane is on every top movie list. The actual movie blows, but the way it was filmed, how it influenced people, and how it changed the way movies were made is what gives it it's importance.
