Ya know, I've been playing with Elixir strings for the longest time, almost as long as I've been playing guitar, which has been almost 7 years now. I used 12s for an extremely long time, and in the last year I went up to 13s. Originally used the Polyweb, been using the Nanoweb for quite some time now. I just put the new phosphor bronze 13s on, and I'm ecstatic. These things are freakin' great, I've never played with a better string. :D :D :D

Elixer are the best strings, in my opinion. Their tone, is down right amazing. And they last twice as long a Martins or any others, I unfortunatly had to put Martins on this last time and they only lasted a week before they lost their tone and I had to replace them just the other day.. So about two weeks. Where as Elixers are atleast four weeks.

I'm not an elixer fan, so I don't really belong in this thread.. I just don't like the sound or feel of them. That's all I have to say.

just picked up some phosphor bronze lights this weekend. I am excited as all hell to put them on and try them out. I am sort of a quality/value guy though, so I'm waiting for my other strings to go out before I put them on. I'm not sure I'll be able to resist though. I'll let you guys know how I like them.

I got some the other day and I'm pretty iffy about them. I've been using the nanowebs for a few years now, but I decided to try these out and I think they sound more 'clangy' (thats the best word I can think of to describe them) and they're not as warm sounding as the nanos either. They also buzz alot more than the nanos and I know it's not my action cause it's already pretty high and I changed to medium-lights from mediums.

It's official. I hate these phosphor bronze strings. They're coming off tomorrow.
