Winn Dixie Song (Not Butterfly)

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": The food court is downstairs. The cookie stand is upstairs. It's not like we're talking quantum physics here.

i watched the movie over the weekend and noticed how dave doesn't even play anything below the G string in the main part.. (i.e. he's not fretting the G at 3)...he's just using his first and pinky finger and using his other two for muting.

i fooled around and came up with a different tab for it. i used Pat's as a template and just made some adjustments. but i still can't figure out the transition. i slowed the clip down to uber-slow speed and can't figure it out.

i changed the ending as well...

does this sound more like it?

Code: Select all

D------------------------------
B------------------------------
G--2-----0--------2---0----0h2--
D--0--2--0--0h2h4---4-------
A------------------------------
E------------------------------

Transition from D to Bm

D------------------------
B---------------------3--
G----------0h2-0---0--4--
D--0h2-2h4-------4----4--
A---------------------2--
E------------------------

D-----------------------------------<7>---------------------------
B--3--3-----------------------------------------------------------
G--4--0-------2---0-----4--------0--------------------------------
D--4--4-0h2h4---4---(0)-0---2/4--0---------------2----------------
A--2--2----------------------------------/2--2/4 ---Back-to-the-D-
E-----------------------3-----------------------------------------
