is a 12 string worth it?

so i've been playing guitar since january, and i think i've picked it up rather well, and i've been wondering - do i save up for a 12 string? i mean they sound so cool, is it really worth it?
i'd love any opinion on that

well, i'm sure someone here will give u their opinion. Their name starts with SH and ends with ANE. I personally think that if u have a pretty decent 6-string, then why not go for the 12?

If it was me, I'd buy a delay/looping pedal for my six string before I plunked down several hundred dollars on a 12 string. But thats just me.

12 strings are worth it, I say. They have a compltely different sound. Just be prepared to be annoyed by tuning it. If you get one, I would get either a Guild 12 string or a Taylor 12 string. I would suggest the Guild for the long term. 12 strings are important for that sound. You can't get the same sound from a pedal or any effect device. Also, for effects, you can't pick just one string at a time. Whenever you pick a 6 string, and put it through and effect, you hit the 2 strings on a 12. You can never hit the single string on the 12. Am I making any sense?

Anyways, Guild or Taylor 12 string, they are worth it.

delay/loop pedals are fun. especially the dl4. but really, it's up to you. if you have a guitar you're satisfied with, stick with it for a while and start messing around with other, cheaper stuff, but if you're heart's set on the 12 string, then go for it. it's really up to you, and i think ranting told some stuff about it.

and yeah, speen and i are a bunch of weirdos, but i wouldn't have it any other way.

all i can say is that 12 strings are AWESOME. *insert homer simpson gargle*

i love them, everybody who hears them thinks theyre awesome. it just takes a little more skill and bigger hands.

a 355 might suit you nicely
