Thats amazing. Is he using a looper or is he playing the bass notes and melody at the same time? I thought it was a looper at first but it looks like he does it in real time.

alternating bass line, used by many fingerstyle blues guitarists

Yeah, I figured that after numerous viewings. I'm gonna buy a thumbpick too, that looks cool. BTW, this guy is tuned down a half step, though the song's in standard originally.

very useful info, if you ever want a good sounding tuning to play around with double drop d, dadgbd.. i might try that a half or whole step down when i get motivated

hahaha that was sweet!

That guy has probably been playing for years! Did you see how fast he went from that stretch to the other parts of the chorus? That would take me like at least another half a second just to do.

That's not that hard, I'm able to play most of it, and that part's not too bad. The picking is much harder.

Impressive, the alternating bass line kicks ass. I struggle with a thumbpick unless I continually practice with it.
