capo on stay or leave

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

by not using a capo and looking at the standard tuning for the song on this site (its to the side of the other tab)

a link if you're lazy. not too difficult, just takes a little more work, and gives it a fuller sound than capoing on what is it...7th?

If you want to play with a capo, just pop it on the seventh fret and then play the tabs shown, using the seventh fret as the "0" fret. Its pretty self explanatory...

good luck on that slide to the "tenth" fret (seventeenth in real life).

Hint....move down one string....no need to go up to the seventeenth

I find it much more difficult to hit the chords cleanly in standard, I just capo at 7.

capoing on the 7th fret is rather stupid, the strings will never be exactly on tune when you have it that high up, i never capo past the 4th fret...

I find playing in standard w/o the capo suits my voice much better.

heh you'll never be in-tune capo'ing anywhere.. so that's a mute point. besides, one of my favorite songs is 3x5 by mayer and it's capo 8th.

The slide to the 17th is fine if you have a cut-away.. my ony problem with it is that the guitar will sound pretty weak 'cause all the upper-harmonics that you get on a raised-B guitar will be missing on a standard capo'd at the 7th.
