Post by Elliottman »

Anyone know anything about this guitar or Takamine's in general?
Im thinking about getting this guitar at Christmas, it will be my first Semi, so i wanna make the right decision.

If not can anyone recommend something in same price range?

Thanks

I played that exact guitar a few days ago. I love it. My friend has the white one, and I can honestly say it's the best sounding guitar I've ever played. Buy it, if I had money for a guitar, that's the one I'd buy (the black one, it's bad ass)

Wow, honestly? Im really suprised at that considering the price and everything? Its not that expensive is it? Ive been told Takamines are much better plugged in, is this true?

Either way i think you may have pushed me towards this guitar!

( we seriously talking bout same guitar - im still shocked :D )

I love me some Tak. I've played this one, it's a good instrument. I have the EG523SC, it's a jumbo, and I adore it. The EG330SC (I believe) is also mighty nice.

i got the eg544sc over memorial day weekend and i've been loving it, the koa sides and cedar top give it a nice smooth look and i've been very happy with the sound. when i bought it i plugged it into a fender acoustasonic30 (or something like that) and it sounded really nice but definately sounds a bit better unplugged, hopefully ill find the cash to spring for a nice acoustic amp soon. anyways, i'd definately recommend the brand, some of my friends who have been playing much longer than me and play more expensive martins, etc. were really impressed with the sound.

i play the eg540sc which is the same guitar except with a natural wood finish and a friend of mine plays the eg541sc.

it's a great guitar for the money and i loved it to death for the past 3 years. but it is far from the best guitar i have ever played. It has a spruce top but Nato back and sides. The onboard tuner is one of my favorite features. It's not the best sounding guitar but for a beginner to intermediate player it is just fine. It was good to me for these past few years but now i'm saving up for a higher end guitar.

I got a Tak 12 string that you can see in my video thread in Daves guitar discussion. I love it, action is perfect and it stays in tune for a long time.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what are the advantages of plugging your guitar in , if you are just playing for yourself?

the vaginal fluid they are secreting is the same composition of urine minus the uric acid and phosphorous. i learned that in 11th grade anatomy. btw, sometimes it does have a FAINT smell of Pizzle.

doesnt make it that much easier, but pluggin in means you want it loud obviously lol. Its a good feature to have if you think of having the guitar for a long time. in case you wanna perform, mess around with effects and amps. Playing loud sometimes open new ideas for me.
