Need some advice

Hi my name is Scooter and im a Dave-aholic

Sorry I just thought that was the best way to introduce myself to the group-being a newbie and all

The advice is a good guitar teacher, either one of yourselves or a recommendation of someone else-in my area(philly/so. jersey). I have been playing for just over a year and can play some Neil Young, but can only play and comprehend very little-THANX

Welcome to the boards! Well I also started by myself which i think was great because now i know i love it and when my teacher does scales with me i know what it will lead up to.there are plenty of people from NJ on these boards. Its pretty nuts.

Is scooter your real name or just a nickname? Anyways! many peopole on these boards are dave-aholics. don't worry! hehe. good luck.

Hey there. Welcome to the ONLY good dmb boards out there

. Post what you like, we help eachother out, give feed back, and all without fighting, bickering, or complaining

. I know, that's a shocker that a dmb board can exist without those, but it can! I am new myself.

Welcome to the boards! If you're lookin to learn Dave, this is the place to be.

One word of advice though.. Don't be a dave-aholic...

Mix it up a bit, don't just concentrate on Dave.

yeah take andys advice, i got into a rut for like 4 months, wher I learned almost all of daves songs and really stoped expaning as a guitarist.

Yeah.. I'd learn the basics on your own, then get a teacher.
