Fool to Think acoustic?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": The food court is downstairs. The cookie stand is upstairs. It's not like we're talking quantum physics here.

He played it at Benaroya Hall. There is audio and video from that performance, maybe someone can hook you up with it.

I think the tab is wrong. I can play along with the tab, but I can't play alot with the song. Is it 4/4 in chorus? sounds to me like 15/16 or something crazy like that

9/8, I'll do a recording...

edit: When I wake up in the morning, it's not working out right now, all the roomies are asleep.

how does Dave play it so cleanly? I just can't get it to sound as good as him. Also @ benaroya he sometimes does a slide going into the last half of the verse from 2 to 3 like this.

Code: Select all

Verse

E:------------------------------------------------------------
B:---------------------------3--------------------------------
G:-----------------7---------0---------4---------6---------4--
D:-------4------5---------4-----------------------------------
A:----2------3---------5------------2---------4---------2-----
E:-0---------------------------2/3---------5---------3--------

I have no problem playing it cleanly. With the help of the video I figured out the rhythm and my guitar sounds great. Im starting on the hard part of trying to sing it along with the guitar now. It's super hard.
