g. love rocks. I listened to his new album last night. He's got the bluesy rocky thing going on.

in one of his earlier album credits he thanks the dave matthews band. They should open up for him again and again!

can I please tell you that I drove up to san francisco with the full intention of having johnson open up for the band this last weekend cause a friend told me that like three months ago and I never thought to check!

oh well.

that would be a damn good tour. johnson, g and matthews...

JJ kinda sucks wang all around.
I got a B&P of a live show of his and couldnt get through it, it was putting me to sleep. It sounded just like the cd. I really like his albums, but listening to him live or for an extended amount of time can be boring.
ya, i saw him on something like music choicve and it was the worst live performance iver ever seen. everythign was 100% liek the album, he had no stage pressence, he did zero deviation from his album, no passion, no excitement to be playing, no energy, it was like watching a friend play some JJ tunes at a party. Maybe even worse.

I've seen him twice, and I won't see him again unless he's part of a festival or something. All the stuff you said is true, but what really turned me off was that his sets were almost identical, and it was a year between shows that I saw him. :?

I don't know about you guys, but I just Jack a couple of nights ago and I gotta admit, it was a helluva lot better than I thought is was gonna be. He played with both openers, Costa and ALO, and he played some badass covers. I gotta admit, I'm not as Daved out for the DMB concert anymore after Jack.
