im looking for this one website i used to use for scales.. it gives you teh neck of the guitar, and you can choise a bunch of different combos for the scales... but then it also gives you the scale in tab form.. does anyone know what site im talking about... i cant remember the name,

thanks for the page, im not sure if tis in there or not.... my main problem is i dont know how to read the charts, so i was looking for this one site.... that on top of giving you a chart, it gives you the tab also

I'd suggest learning the charts. Don't be so dependent on tabs. (Yes, I'm being "that guy")

any advice on how to get me started? like where to begin? are they hard to learn?

I dont understand them either? Are all the notes marked, the notes that apply to a C scale, assuming thats what I had it set on?

i think thats how they work, the numbers are the notes for whatever scale you select. i use this site most of the time http://www.guitarists.net/scales/index.php

What do the different colors mean for the notes?
i dont think they mean too much, just for the scale that note is that color. so for example B might be yellow or A be blue, just for ease of recognition i believe

I can do pretty well with soloing up until a certain point. The problem is I get confined to one area when doing it. I want to be able to go from the 12th fret up to the 2nd. But unsure how.
