I think butch kicks ass and always fills out the songs with intersting underplay and solos but,... whats the story
who is he ?
where is he from?
when did he join?
what has he done before dmb?

and if anyone knows, to what extent was he linked with the band when they did Remebmber two things (1993?).......(hes listed as one of the SPECIAL THANKS TO on the back)... :lol:

thanks in advanced....
...... ps to the winey kids :evil: around i did do a search to see if i could learn this stuff from other posts but it gave me about a million of them.

Butch is from Charlottesville
Joined in 1996
I think he has played with different members of the band early on, i dont know the specifics all too well someone else here knows. I think i have read about it on here before.

pretty new here as you may be able to tell but regarding this thread, the only thing i know is that butch isnt even considered part of the band i read somewhere that dave compared boyd coming into the band as adopting a new kid into a family or something of that sorts but i agree butch kicks ass with the boys

He was in a jazz fusion band called Secrets with Carter Beauford before dmb was formed.

alright so im wondering if there is more info out there about butch. i searched google and found nothing. anyone know a site that might have some info on him. where he is from, what he hass been doing before DMB.....
