time to just Daydream a little

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Which kinds would you recommend that are not too expensive?

I think they are ok. They are definately for performance. They sound good onstage, but not offstage IMO. I also don't play them because i sit down to play, and with an ovation, that's a daunting task.

my buddy had one. and he, nor i could stand up and play it. the round back would cause it to turn sideways like a slide guitar. i don't know, i guess its all about personal preference. but if someone gave me one id sell it and buy something good

the big problem with ovations is that they fall apart real easy, stuff like the rosette and any electronics aren't built real well...

Any good guitars with built in tuners that you'd recommend that are not too expensive?

my alvarez twelve string came with a built in tuner and it was 600. i'm sure you could find a six for that much or less with one built in

why not just get a seperate tuner. They are much more accurate and many of those can be adujsted. I love my Korg Chormatic tuner CA-30. I love tha tI can change the Hz. It also has a pitch pipe too (annoying, but good in loud places where you can't plug in your guitar). So, I suggest get a guitar and a speareate tuner, because if you sell the guitar, you can keep the tuner.

They're very nice tuners. Mine has been dropped a few too many times, so I have black duct tape on it ;) lol.
