i dunno if that was a joke or you're the most egotistic person in the world.
either way, it was a jolly good laugh.
now i think you guys misunderstand jason. you really make it sound like he thinks dave is the greatest musician in the entire universe, etc.
i dont KNOW he doesnt think that, but he and i both share the opinion that he is an excellent guitar player and songwriter, and in my opinion, one of the best rhythm guitarists of our time. when the rest of you start making us defend that belief by busting on dave, it forces us to analyze and prove and go on and on, and before you know it we're all trying to make idols out of our favorite musicians. i think this goes for both me and jason when i say we think Dave is an excellent guitar player, who developed a very influential style and wrote a crapload of good, deep songs, not only lyrically but musically as well. let's quit arguing over who is better, and just appreciate the music we have-this is a DMB website after all.

Jason does think he's the greatest...he said he was up there with stevie ray vaughan...now that's just not right...I like DMB way more than SRV, but SRV blows him out of the water as a musician...
