Nah they just sucked. Everyday is that much worse in the fans minds because they shelved some of their most powerful studio recordings ever (LWS) for sappy 3 minute pop songs. And Stand Up is just plain bad.carter29 wrote:Does anyone think we were too harsh on Stand Up (and everyday for that matter) because we are diehard fans and be the toughest crictics?
Or did they just suck?
I say everyday was from being to hard critics, stand up just was bad

tictacs had a good argument going that a song from the stand up dvd was what they were teasing, but thankfully he turned out to be wrong.Grachi wrote:who was it saying that they wouldnt play #34 or whatever when someone else was saying it was being teased on this summer tour? and then they've already played it several times?
I haven't been on here in awhile i just remember there was some sort of arguement about that.

I think Everyday is a lot better than people give it credit for, especially musically, I think Stand Up is pretty half-hearted...ED will always be hated more though b/c of what was lost in the process and the initial shock of it all...I like it though...I'm way past it and think it has some great, great material on it.Nitro1515 wrote:Nah they just sucked. Definitly. I honestly listen to Everyday just as much as I listen to Crash (which is my favorite album). I can listen to all but one song on there. (it will remain nameless). And its not that I dislike that song, its just that Id much rather listen to Everyday. Besides, the songs came out well live.gcom007 wrote:I think Everyday is a lot better than people give it credit for, especially musically, I think Stand Up is pretty half-hearted...ED will always be hated more though b/c of what was lost in the process and the initial shock of it all...I like it though...I'm way past it and think it has some great, great material on it.Nitro1515 wrote:Nah they just sucked. yeah, I like Everyday...I think Mother Father is horrible and it's by far my least favorite DMB song, and Angel's pretty lame too, but the rest is great...I think it's their best studio effort since BTCS that actually got released.

I like Angel w/ the lovely ladies just because it adds that soul/gospel side of DMB. Besides, that opening riff is pretty bad ass on its own imo. Just an alright song, but I do enjoy the opening riff. Mother Father....w/e.gcom007 wrote:yeah, I like Everyday...I think Mother Father is horrible and it's by far my least favorite DMB song, and Angel's pretty lame too, but the rest is great...I think it's their best studio effort since BTCS that actually got released.
