sometimes when i pick i get a weird metalic sound (sounds like someone trying to play slide but sucks)

if you pick near the back, it will make that sound. if you pick near the frets, it makes a more acoustic sound.

nah that's not what i'm talking about, like during a strum down, sometimes there is a really weird metalic sound....i pick close to over the sound hole, so it's not the location

Is your string buzzing?

Did you clip the excess string at the pegs, or leave it?
