Nails

This may be a longshot, but does anyone have any recommendations for strengthening nails? My middle and index fingernails are about as thin as paper and break constantly. Does anyone know of anything that I can paint on them to make them stronger?

funny enough. i used to have really brittle nails but i just kept cutting them and quit bitting them and now they're pretty strong. also, there is this clear liquid that comes in a bottle that looks just like nail polish but it says nail strengthener on it. it works

Nutra nail, my gf uses it, but I know guitar players do too.

I use my finger tips when i play. Is it the "proper" way to use the nails while finger picking?

Nah, what do you think drag queens use? They're still men, just dressed up like women.

And seriously, I read that clear coat, matte finish with vitamins in it can protect and strengthnen nails.

I have heard that mixing up a little gelatin in water and drinking it every day helps build stronger nails, although it sounds kind of gross and old wives tale-ish to me.
