Need help...

Post by Janzen »

I'm just learning to play the guitar, I haven't gotten any lessons or anything like that. I figure I can pretty much learn over the internet these days but what I dont understand is how to play tablature when all the tabs are above and below each other.

ie. Crash into me by Dave matthews band

Intro/Verse
E:-------------------------------------------------
B:---5------5----5------5----5------5----5------5--
G:---4------4----4------4----4------4----4------4--
D:---2------2----x------x----x------2----x------x--
A:-4-----0-0--2-2------2----2----0-0--2-2------2--
E:--------------------0-0--4-4----------------0-0--
2 1 2 1

What I dont understand is how you play when all the tabs are all above each other and under each other if anyone understands what I'm saying could they please help, I'd greatly appreciate it. I have put my problem in bold.
