High and dry B/F# fingering?

Fuck. Wrong the first time. Got my shit backwards. Normal B chord but hit the low E on the second fret.

B/F# is a slash chord or B over F#.

To figure these out, the first chord is the chord, the second chord is the bass note.

D/F# in What Will Become of Me for ex.

D major with thumb on F#.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that was always my understanding of slash chords.

Thats how i do them also. But with a B/F#, while playing a B you already have your finger on the F#. So there are some exceptions.

But I just looked and apparently an A/E is just an A chord. So maybe some are just automatically that way. Seems kind of redundant.

So my thinking would be 224442
