the antioch show was f'n incredible.. best show i've ever seen out of 6 so far.. they jammed jimi thing for almost 30 minutes.. had robert randolph come out for stand up and louisiana bayou. it was just amazing.. dave put on some funny hat danced like there was no tomorrow.. finished with old dirt hill which of course wasnt a big crowd pleaser but once he grabbed the baritone and did what you are everyone exploded.. wow im still in awe
honest is easy, fiction is where genius lies.

I wonder how that worked???
anyway, the show was alright. at the beginning it seemed to have potential to be one of the rare shows that was actually good but they started playin new songs again...
but guess who guested...robert randolph. the second time ive seen this guy and he is pure energy. stand up and louisiana bayou were awesome, especially bayou it was by far the best ive heard from downloadin a lot of the others online.
it was nice to get you never know and time of the season
hunger was good, lots of energy and everyone seemed to really get into it, the crowd particularly
jimi thing was suprisingly fresh. the jam was more reminscent of the CP jam than the chicago or anything jam, and butch had a pretty good solo in it. they did a mellow scat outro which ended with the possibility for "for what its worth" but they didnt play it.
steady as we go wasnt very good, no one really got into it
american baby was pretty good, people knew it so they liked it
crush was good, everyone knew it and loved it, the jam was good as well
you might die trying, people started to get into it
stolen away was decent, but still, not very well known so it didnt get a great reaction
warehouse was pretty good, nothing like CP but good nonetheless, with another good butch solo and carter did some different stuff
old dirt hill was a kill-joy. i mean, it was nice, but not worthy of the many encore spots it has gotten
what you are was great energy with a long intro (that chanting stuff) and the part where dave usually scat-screams near the end he went bezerk with screaming. unfortunately some jackass next to me was screaming the central park stuff so i couldnt really concentrate.
highlight of the night was most definately robert randolph with LB...damn that was pretty sweet. they built it up and like 3 times the lighting guys thought it would end so they built it up to all the fancy stuff, but they just kept going. dave wore the hat and robert randolph did all his dancing around his steel.
overall not bad...but then again, its dmb they are never "bad"
but i was pleased to hear a lot of SU songs first hand and how good they actually are without all that shit batson put in
