Frustrated w/ this JM/DM shit! any1 with me

DMB songs strike a chord in so many people.......I don't care about melodies, rhythm, theory, songwriting, etc. Its an undeniable fact. That alone makes DMB (Dave) a great group (musician) for every single person who is affected by the music. Music is 100% SUBJECTIVE.

Once Mayer matures as a singer and songwriter, he will be every bit as good as Dave. Mayer is going through the equivilent of Dave's early, amature period.

if he doesn't blow it all by being too cocky now, he's got a lot more talent than most though to take it far, the potential is there...

Absolutely. pretty much pre-1993 before his UTTAD songs started surfacing was the period he (and the band) were shaping their sound and working out the kinks.
