I'm very confident that this tab/sample is 99% correct. The Central Park bonus disc version and the 9-8-02 Gorge performance make it pretty easy to hear and compare, and Gorge is what I used to generate the initial tab.
As for the recording, I'm sure the tempo varies from the BTCS version, and I know it fluctuates a bit within itself. I plan on redoing it and any future soundclips I submit over a click track, because I think its very important to (a) practice with a metronome and (b) be able to resolve the funky things Stefan (or any other bass player) does back to a rhythm and time signature. The best bass players are probably all working from "feel" but those same players still need to be able to understand what's happening in terms of rhythm and syncopation. Playing any rhythm oriented instrument is about so much more than getting the notes or chords right.
I'm also thinking some samples at half-tempo or slower would be useful. I found this site that provides tabs and samples for some of Flea's work and the slowed down clips were a huge help.
