There are some nice spots on it, and there are also some horrid spots on it. All in all I'm tremdously disappointed. After listening to X&Y, the music on it is so complex. There are intro's, verse's, prechorus', chorus', bridges and outro's on just about every song. You can tell these songs took them a long time to write and perfect. On the other hand listen to Stolen Away or Smooth Rider, the rhythm is so mind numbingly simple that you can tell the CD was rushed and they did indeed, just like Dave said, not spend a whole lot of time on any of the songs. I just wish DMB would get back to working their asses of in the studio again instead of taking the easy way out by hiring kiss ass producers who are just thankful to even be there in the first place. Can anyone explain that to me?

Well, hopefully they have the sense to check out old material, either just because they like the new stuff or a friend with a brain suggests it. If they just now got into DMB and cant find their way to the good, old stuff, fuck them, they should have gotten on the bus a while ago. Hopefully they catch a concert and realize what they missed.Nitro1515 wrote:I know they suck, but the average music fan who just skims their reviews and looks at the ratings is going to be influnced by what they see. Yeah your definitely right. I just wish other people knew that RS doesn't know shit. It seems like the majority of people take their reviews to be the gold standard.jsgksu wrote:Well, hopefully they have the sense to check out old material, either just because they like the new stuff or a friend with a brain suggests it. Honestly, people who cant see through that, I really dont want them listening to my favorite band, their taste is so bad they dont deserve DMB.Nitro1515 wrote:Yeah your definitely right.
