Two Step cover (updated, yet again)

Post by Bedurndurn »

Okay.. these two have the wrong rhythm:
Two Step (old version)
Two Step (new and hopefully improved version)

Is this the right rhythm for the song?

I think you did a pretty good job....vocals were solid (chorus is hard). Definately better than I could do..

Hey that was pretty good......

There's just one thing, the strumming, you're not playing a two step rhythm, I think..
Try doubling your strums up, ehh...does that make sense? Think of....1,2 1,2 1,2

Listen to L@lc to see what I mean, if not let me know ill post an old recording...

I liked the vocals, very good man
ps: that's one of the best avatars ive ever seen :D

Good job on the vocs...its a hard one to sing. As miguel mentioned, the strumming is off a bit...you need to emphasize more beats. Just listen to a solo or d/t version and you'll be right as the mail. Good job on the whole...the songs a lot harder than most think.

RE: Number of strums... whoops. Taking a listen to L@LC you're definitely right about that. I just tried to play it the right way while singing and I figured out why I play the song the way I do (i.e. the right way makes me fudge it up badly :D) Off to the practice woodshed. As a side question, can somebody recommend a good Dave solo show that I can get off of AntsMarching?

Okay, new version available here.

Trippin, I'd appreciate it if you'd take a listen and tell me if I fixed it or not (and if I added any new f-ups  )

my first post in a very very long time...but
The strumming needs to be worked on still, but overall nice job though. I found out by tapping it out with my feet helped me keep the beat. I found that Two Step on The Lost Acoustics compilation is good to hear the strums.. i think at least.
Yes, I am Indian and I play the guitar. Believe It.
