Slides on the chorus of Granny?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Slides on the chorus of Granny?

Post by PlayLikeDave »

Hi everyone. I was listening to Granny from L@LC, and I know that Dave slides on the first 5xx5 to 7xx7, but I keep hearing some type of slide from the 7xx7 to 2xx2. Does anyone know if this is Dave, Tim, or am I hearing things? I hear the same thing on Jimi Thing when Dave slides from 11 on A to play the a chord. I don't play it with a slide. I play it with the same fingering as Billies. Well if anyone cares enough let me know.

Thanks
I love you oh so well, like a kid loves candy and fresh snow.

i just barely lift my fingers when playing the chorus so you hear that i hear a slide on almost every chord change. sounds close enough to me...just do what you like. (sorry that probably wasnt very helpful)

Hey, any help is help. The whole thing is that on the verse to the song Jimi Thing, there is a long slide from the 11th fret to the around the 2nd (to make the A chord). It sounds the same as that, and that is noted as a slide on the tab. I just didn't know if it really mattered. Thanks for the feed back though. I like the song a lot and want to play it perfectly.
