Bartender - Second guitar part in standard tuning

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Bartender - Second guitar part in standard tuning

Post by bakemm »

Can anyone put out a tab for standard tuning in this part. Or does anyone have a tab for this?

Thanks

Well... truthfully, I don't yet. I don't mind learning, and I'm sure it doesnt take more than 5 minutes, but if there is a standard tuning tab, it would save time "dropping -D" everytime I want to play Bartender

Drop - D.... Sounds kinda like something you'd do in the bathroom.

to tune to drop d... pluck the D string (4th string) and the low E (6th) at the same time, and tune the low E to D (one ovtave lower than the D)... you are releasing tension, and lowering the pitch

if youre really tone deaf.. you can use a tuner or a piano
eventually you will be able to tune it without even ringing the other D... because you will be able to just recegnize the pitch

Alternate way is to fret 7th on e string and tune down until it matches the tone of the A string.

Really...tune it to drop D...unless you can play 2x07xx (rather than 4x07xx which is difficult enough) or 3557xx (5557xx). The other times where D is played open...you have to mute it. There is no other way around that.

Realize...the point of the second Guitar part is to give a fullness to the song's chords. Transposing to standard defeats the original purpose.

Have fun and best wishes
