yea, but this isn't for heavy songs
it's for blues or for dirtying up clean stuff

not for metal, not for heavy music at all. you can use it w/ acoustics, and you turn you can turn it down so it just barely shows through or you can turn it all the way up and play some pretty decent distortion

Id go digital since you get easier tweak that way, plus its not as dependable on your rig as an overdrive pedal usually is.

Im sure pretty much no one here can tell the difference of a POD working or a amp with overdrive pedals working. I know I cant.

i've heard that thing is awesome. can it work w/ an acoustic? there are few distortion pedals that work well w/ acoustics.

As far as I can tell it works fine with my acoustic. But I hate distorting acoustics so I wouldn't really know.

I have the blues driver, its by no means as good as all the hype. In fact, Id probably get a normal Boss OD pedal since they are way cheaper and got more tone options. It does work well with acoustic though.

If you want to gritty up acoustic guitar then maybe a Bass overdrive would work better? John Butler (from the John Butler Trio) does this and he's got a sweet tone.

Overall I still say go digital, it really is better for us hobby musicians.

Which model? Or are you just suggesting the tube screamer because its famous? :P

Seriously though, overdrive is much more usefull for boosting, overall guitar sound should be managed by distortions.
