so i bought Live at Folsom Field today, and i love it. one of my favorites on there is So Right. apparently it's on Everyday, but I don't own that album. anywho, to my question:

during the "Don't rob yourself...." verses, dave is playing that main riff, while boyd slowly creeps up the notes. now, would anyone know what chords you could play in order to keep that growing tension? i hope that question came out clear...

(the reason i rambled about Folsom Field is because it's the only version of the song i've heard...)

i understand what your saying, but I don't have the energy to listen and tab right now. Off the top of my head I'd imagine he starts at a Bm and just goes up whole steps from there.

Yeh i don't know the answer to your question. But i agree, that song espicially @ Folsom is so tighhht! I love like the first 5 seconds of the song!

Second best ED song (IMO of course).
I've been been trying to play this song correctly while I'm singin' but it's just something I can't do; like Typical Situation or American Baby.
It's just practice I guess..

lol, back to the question at hand, though

i don't know enough about music theory to figure this stuff out, so some help is appreciated. there seems to be something more complex going on than just whole steps from Bm.

i dunno, i think it'd be real cool to incorporate that tension in a solo performance...i know you guys have some ideas
