Been a little while since I posted anything all by my lonesome.. been busy recording some stuff.. doing a couple geekfire collaberations (another in the works).. but I had said that I was going to make a CD of my music before the summer was out.. and the summer is on its way out. So, I don't have enough material for a guitar/vocal CD, but I can manage a CD of solo instrumentals.. so let me know what you guys thing of this..

you should definitely stick to instrumentals. i've learned the lesson that i can't sing and should stick to instrumentals.

Thanks for all your guy's (and gal's) praise.. When (and if) I get together a CD, I'll put it up in mp3 form online.

fatjack: quite a compliment to say it is better than fire's.. I am pretty sure fire is better than me though, but I'll take it As for the drum recordings.. it's probably the lowest-tech part of my recordings always. I have a cheap PC mic pointed in the corner of my desk so as to give it a slightly muffling quality ('cause I easily peak out the cheap mic) and it seems to help keep the cymbals (higher frequency pitches) from overbearing the lower pitchs as much. And then, in post, I have an equalizer that I have custom made to punch up the bass and knock down some specific frequencies up higher (like the hi-hat).. and then it gets compressed pretty heavily. My set is pretty nice, but I can't afford the grand or so to mic it properly.. so for now, it sounds like trash on recordings.
