another thought because im the one who posted the topic "dave better than some of the best in his own way?" do you think dave and tim have been practicing,studying, and playing so long that as you guys talked about a lot of us can't get dave's songs exactly how dave makes it to sound which is the correct way, but would about tim? do you think out of the time they spent together that when tim duplicates dave parts, he will do them in dave's style?

Tim doubled Dave's guitar parts on UTTAD and some other albums I think. And I've heard instances at D&T shows where Dave breaks a string and Tim just picks up the rhythm part while Dave gets a new guitar. I saw this happen first hand in Des Moines in 1999 during LIOG.
