Definitely not a typo.
UTTAD is much better thant BTCS...ill say this: pantala, rapunzel, stay, crush are all top-notch dmb songs....the ddtw on btcs is TERRIBLY BORING, the last stop and the stone lots of people like but i dont for some reaosn, so i cant argue about those...halloween, dreaming tree, spoon are just so-so on the dmb scale, and pig is good, but not top notch...

now look at UTTAD: BOWA - great; WWYS - classic(tho overplayed); satellite - money; r&r - good song, overplayed but still good; typical - so sweet; nancies - one of the better jam songs live and a great version on the cd; ants - nuff said; warehouse - godly; jimi thing - godly; #34 is so-so; pfwyg is just ok...lover lay down is solid and relaxing

that was a terribly sporadic argument and im only not deleting it cuz it took me all of 4 minutes
you may like the songs on uttad better, that doesn't make it a better album... an album *SHOULD BE* a hell of a lot more than just a collection of songs. that's the point of an album.

excellent.

Crash is a good example of this. my least favorite album, even though i love all the songs, and many of them are favorites of mine.

BTCS is musical perfection. The songs, the order, the segues, it's perfect. The entire album minus Stay has a kinda dark, moody feel to it. DT is great, The Stone, the lyrics of Spoon. I cannot listen to this album unless it's start to finish uninterrupted.

Musical perfection. Good phrase. I was thinking of "Rhapsodical Flawlessness," but that works too. O ya and no DMB album can touch BTCS. Genious.

Maybe the other two albums have better songs on it, especially live, but as a whole BTCS blows the rest out of the water.

You like this less than everyday???

To each his own.

I am going to have to go with most everyone else on this one.

BTCS cannot be beat. Each song has a different emotion. This is really the first album were you can see the band go in a different direction but still keep their old school feel to it. This is one of those albums that I can play all the way through. It's an awesome treat after Spoon to get the Last Stop Reprise.

DDTW, boring?? IMO, that is one of Dave's most energetic songs. He sings it with so much passion it really puts you into his frame of mind. I will admit the song is boring to play on guitar. The tempo changes and mood changes on that song are awesome.

I don't know how anyone can not like the Stone or Halloween.

Back to original topic.

Prodcued by me in Des Moines, IA.

BOWA

LIOG

ok well i was talking purely track listing, as in my favorite songs...personally i dont like the dark moody feeling of btcs...i like the energetic ddtw like at CP....i like the happy stuff...so im goin purely by the songs...what else is there? i dont really pay attention to the mixing or production or whatever

i agree that ddtw is a bit boring on the album. my favorite versions of that song are with tim and the bartender intro. other than that they only change i would have make to btcs was to take off stay and replace it with something else that fit more with the general mood of the album. it seems out of place, like it would fit better on crash or uttad

I just hve to disagree, and I apologize. I don't understand how you say Stay is top notch, but not to say that Pig, The Stone, and Dreaming Tree aren't?!?! Wow. I dunno, it's weird. To me WWYS is trite, not even THAT good of a song. Pay For What You Get is good and you said it's just ok, while you say Satellite is "money"... It seems like you listen to all the songs that most casual fans do, which means you haven't experienced every song to it's fullest. BTCS has a ton of extraordinary intertwinings of musical genious all collected onto one disc.

well those are the songs i like...and ive listened to the stone, dreaming tree, etc. many times and i just dont like them as much. as i said in an earlier post, i dont like the dark-mood dmb as much as a lot of people do...this is why i like stay and dont like the stone...just an opinion thing....
