There was a show they did in Texas a while back (There is a page on weeklydavespeak.com all about it), where there were so many crickets crawling around, underneath, and on to the stage that they were literally crawling up the band member's legs. Dave, being form africa, was used to it, even though he had one on the mike in front of him about to jump in his face, but Carter got so fed up that he stopped playing right in the middle of jimi thing. So, needing a song without much need for drums, they played spoon for the first time.

i have that show. i'm pretty sure he left cause of the crickets, not dave.

What happens? At what point in the song does carter give up? Does Dave make any smartass remarks to cover the problem as he always does?

yea, he is just like "well, there are a lot of crickets and Carter just cant stand it. I dont know, it doesnt effect me. Im used to it. They are crickets, what are they gonna do?"

they turned the house lights on to draw the crickets away, and then carter came back

i think they quit playing that venue, cause i have other years (i think carter leaving was in august of 98) where dave comments on the crickets. it must happen every time.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure that Dave would NOT play a song if he didn't want to or if he thought it was played out.
