why do you target me, everytime im asked to prove myself i do, tell me these last two times where i was definatly proved wrong? please, humor my ass.jellyfish wrote:Wow, that guy is pretty sensitive.
For those of you who don't know what happened, I had pointed out that Ranting was 100% wrong in what he said about the Beatles not using drugs while creating music or making songs about drugs. He even reiterated that supposed "fact" three times. Well I posted a link from a BBC article where McCarteny was interviewed and clearly stated that some songs were influenced by drugs, which totally discredited Ranting.
I wouldn't normally make a big deal about him being wrong but for some reason he is held as a beacon of knowledge with respect to song origins, types of guitars used in recording specific albums, etc.
When people ask a question they deserve the truth. But Ranting or Filmdude give their opinions which somehow are regarded as truth around here. The last two times they got proved wrong, very easily I might add.
Therefore, I created a thread called "Dont beleive the Hype". It was aimed at Ranting and the purpose was to let people knw that he is not correct, no matter what his heart tells him.
This is a community. Just like the trading community you don't want to contaminate the pool with bad recordings, in this case we don't want bad info regarding DMB or other topics.
I hope you guys lay off the personal attacks.
