I'm going to Wells, ME tommorow and am looking forward to bringing my old guitar down to the beach. For my own entertainment, I'm gonna see how many girls I can get to come over and talk to me (if any) by just playing . Any easy song suggestions (AKA, I can learn them sorta ok by tommorow)? I'm already planning on playing Crash into Me, Victoria, No Woman No Cry (Fugees style), Save Tonight, and some Howie Day. Perhaps I'm completely naive, but I have a feeling this is gonna work. Hey, and if it doesn't, at least I'll get to hang out with my friends strumming away at the beach.
Its worth a try .....I'm going away to college in a few weeks, so I gotta test my stuff out in the real world.

By the way Roastbeef, your avatar is so damn good. Whether its true or not, I can't help but picture you as the happiest/most positive human being alive. Rock on.

I play for a few reasons. Firstly, because I enjoy the music. If I didn't enjoy it, then I definately wouldn't invest the time and effort. Secondly, because playing guitar gives me something worthwhile to do with my time.
I'm not playing "to get poon", I'm just seeing what response (if any) I will get. That's my choice and I don't think it reflects on anyone but myself. Fatjack, you need to relax and stop playing the role of condescending guitar afficionado. You may be a damn good guitarist (I respect you tremendously for that), but don't tell me what's "OK" to do with my guitar and my free time.

i guess i got just a little too uppety over it... i really didn't mean to say YOU were hurting the integrity of other guitarists... i just get mad sometimes when thats all a guitarist does. i just take my music very seriously and sometimes i get upset over stuff i shouldn't...
so sorry if i made ya mad, now i know that you do care about music, which makes me very happy
