Obscure, drunken ramblings shouted ad naseum at DMB shows are so passe and really tend to lend to the broad generalization that all DMB fans are frat boys and sororiety sisters decked out in A&F gear.

Just my opinion.

i'll yell shit, but only when he plays crash.
and then i'm usually screaming, "My little sister loves this one!!!!!!!!!!!"
or,
"I'm pretending to like this song so i can fuck this ho-bag next to me later tonight!!!!!!!!!"
lol
Yeah not shit right? We're all guilty of this one at one point of another.
you musn't have read my review of the last san diego show, or maybe it was 2 years ago, i dotn know. But it was me ranting for a page on how horrible the crowds are now at a DMB show. People just shitfaced, getting in everyones way, i for one dont ever want to do Lawn again./
I agree with you, but sometimes I wonder if it's really ME and I'm just getting older, but I can honestly say that most concert goers are younger people with disposable income and they just go to these shows to party. That's their right of course, but it doesn't stop these dopes from annoying the shit out of me!

All it takes is getting bumped into too many times or getting urinated on or listening to drunken shouting that lasts the duration of the entire show to turn you off to some so called DMB "fans".

thats my beef exactly, i was on the lawn, almost dead front, and this fat hippy chick was shitfaced dancing in everyone's way, spilling beer all over people, I threw a lit ciggarette at her. it was annoying. I just hate standing on the lawn. just fuckign chill, if you siot then everyone can see, that's why the lawn is sloped numb nuts. but then you get the assholes in the very front who stand and then no one else can see and you get shitheads trampling your blanket with muddy feet and stepping on your hands and spilling shit...

ok, i done now :D

Meh, Jane is not that bad looking, but she does make Ashley seem a lot prettier.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I really dont want to be the person that gets in a fight at a DMB show, i really dont. but i swear sometimes people push me. If that were me, i would have probably thrown a lit cigarette on..... ......oh wait :D

I think what you did is perfectly justified, even dousing her with gasoline prior to your toss might have been okay. She was fat, drunk AND annoying. I admire your restraint!

Ya, she was pissing off everyone around us, atleast 30 people were dodging her spilling beer and gross pot belly.

So i threw my cigarrette at her and almost made it into her beer. Everyone just kind of laughed at her.

when i saw them in 98 and 2000, the crowd was awesome, more people there to actually hear the band. the crowds post 2000 are frat dudes in collared shirts popped and sorority girls in skirts (no complaint, if they didnt talk and were just eye candy) talking on their god damn cell phones, trying to find one another. Then halfway through the set one of the frat dudes in the group is throwing up, a couple others are starting fights, and the rest are yelling ignorant shit in the middle of a quiet song. the scene isnt as cool, but as long as the music is good i wont stop going. the phish scene was getting the same way before they broke up. but i dont let them ruin my show so fuck em

Ah, if only that beer was really a cup full of Bacardi 151. That would have been quite a toss :)

Please. If you are going to a show with lawn seats and youre trying to watch from up close while sitting down on a blanket, youre probably semi-retarded. If you want to sit down and relax while you listen, sit in the back of the lawn. I love lawn seats because it is a PARTY. What happens at parties? People get wasted, spill beer, break shit, talk, and dance around like morons. If you dont like it then dont sit there.
