Have you tried MX tabs. I know there are several ways to play it. I was never fond of the song so I neevr learned it. Actuaclly, it might be near the chords of "Let you Down"

I've pretty much given up on trying to learn the "correct" way to play songs unless they're analzyed by people on a forum such as this.

Code: Select all

intro, verse, chorus
e-----0-0---------------------3--
B-----8-8-----7-7-------5-5---3--
G-----0-0-----7-7-------5-5---0--
D-----9-9-----5-5-------5-5---0--
A---7-7-7---7-7-7-5--3--------2--
E-0---------------------------3--
prechorus
e----------0-0---0-0-0-0------
B----------0-0---0-0-0-0------
G----5-5---2-2---2p0-2p0------
D----5-5---2-2---2-2-2-2------
A-3--3-3---0-0-0-0-0-0-0------
E-----------------------------
I'm a terrible ear player so i can't tell you if this is how he plays it on the album. but i do know this is how he plays it on the morning sessions dvd cause i watched him. This isn't how I play it though. I play the verse like that, but the prechorus sounds better w/ one guitar in my opinion like this

Code: Select all

e--0---5---
B--3---8---
G--0---6---
D--2---5---
A--3---7---
E------5---
but like i said, that's not how Mike plays it.
I also can't tell by looking whether or not he plays

Code: Select all

e-----------------7--
B--8-- --8--
G--0-- OR --7--
D--9-- --9--
A--7-- --7--
E--------------------
during the that first chord in the verse but the one w/ the 0 sounds more right, but either way will work. Hope that's good enough for ya.

end on

Code: Select all

e--5-------------
B----8-----------
G------6---------
D--------5-------
A----------7-----
E------------5---

I play the prechorus with a barred Cmaj7 and then open up the Asus2 into an Em7/11. Just a small difference. Other than that, that's how I play it.

Exactly. I don't care if they're hitting an E on second-fret D or 7th fret A. It's still the same E.

Oh I meant correct as in "the way the artist plays it" because you know that's such a big deal. lol

the one that speen plays sounds more correct for the album version only that last chord it almost sounds like he goes

Code: Select all

intro, verse, chorus
e-----0-0---------------------0--
B-----8-8-----7-7-------5-5---5--
G-----0-0-----7-7-------4-4---4--
D-----9-9-----5-5-------5-5---5--
A---7-7-7---7-7-7-5--3--------0--
E-0---------------------------5--
which is what someone else had tabbed, but that's not what mike played live, so i guess the reason it's so hard to tab this out is because that little afroed bastard plays different versions himself.
