Remember, whatever you want to get out of playing out is what you should strive for. I mean if you're happy with playing JJ and DMB song then do it. I would advise you that you should never limit yourself musically though.
Make sure you throw some songs like Tripping Billies in there that let everybody know that you can play well. Try to really impress everybody.
