Strumming lessons?

yea im a drummer first then a guitar player so i think the drumming rhythm helped me alot with strumming especially with dmb songs

Anyone know a good way to learn to strum well? IE techniques...I practice all the damn time but I am trained classically and the fingerpicking definitely does not translate into good strumming...I have been working on Stay or Leave for a while now, and just cant seem to get this down...any suggestions?

On Stay or Leave, first, you should play it in standard tuning, unless you have a raised B guitar. You lose a lot of ringing notes with the capo, and ringing is very important for this song. First get the fingering down well enough so that you can just concentrate on your right hand. Watch your right hand until you get it down and make sure you really accent the bass notes.
