new originals

Post by longleggedfrog »

It's been awhile, but I have some new originals if anyone is interested. Here is a direct link to the new stuff. http://www.kennyclark.net/page3.html

The song "Love" just placed as a finalist in the VH1 Song of the Year contest. It's not my favorite and I couldn't get a good vocal, but it did well in the contest. Anyway, check em out and let me know what you think.

ken,

your site would flow a little better if the lyrics to your songs weren't in .doc form. either add them into that page or make them popup htmls.

sounds good, the multitracked vocals remind me a little of elliot smith but happier. Just wondering where did you here about the vh1 contest?

I'm not a big fan of doubled vocals...but...you gotta do what you gotta do. I couldn't get a single vocal to sound like it fit. My set up isn't too bad, just a computer, behringer mixer, 100 dollar compressor, and a couple of 100 mics.

I found the contests last year, at The Muses Muse.com. You can find a link to the website on my links page. One day I did a search for music contests and the muses muse came up. The site lists several different contests. I recently signed up for Sonicbids.com as well and that has tons of contests. Not sure if they are all legite, but there is a lot to choose from. Supposedly you can send your music to ar people and you can also try and win spots at small concerts and festivals. Sonicbids.com, check it out. let me know if you have any other questions....also, do a search for music contests, you never know what you will find.
