Tab for video clip 4 of Stand Up

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Tab for video clip 4 of Stand Up

Post by ForksonKnives »

I really apologize if this has been posted already but I could not find it. Me and the search function on this particular board do not get along. Anyways for the song thats playing at the end of video clip 4 I think I figured out the guitar riff. Its the song thats playing while the guys are sitting around listening and jamming. Anyways its a pretty cool variation on the basic G scale so here it is:

|------------------------------------------||
|------------------------------------------||
|-------------------2----------------------||
|------------2--------3-5-2------2-------||
|-----2-3-5---3-5-----------3-5----5----||
|-3-5--------------------------------------||

Once again apologies if this has been posted. (Delete it if it has.)

This is my take on it:

Code: Select all

E||-------------------|-----------------||
B||-------------------|-----------------||
G|*-------------------|-2-----0---------*|
D|*----------0-2------|---3-------0-2-0-*|
A||----0-2-3-----3-0--|-----3-----------||
E||--3----------------|-----------------||
4/4  |   |   |   |      |   |   |   |
Does anyone know what the hell this song is called?

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": The food court is downstairs. The cookie stand is upstairs. It's not like we're talking quantum physics here.

I hope that little riff that he plays in the beginning of the clip when batson asks him to play something cool for him ends up on the album, I love that.

It's based on Amaj and Emaj, that for sure. It's the chord in the middle that I'm not sure of.

Code: Select all

E||-----X-------------|-----X-------------||
B||--2--X----------3--|-----X----------3--||
G|*--2--X----------0--|--1--X----------0--*|
D|*--2--X------4---4--|--2--X------4---4--*|
A||--0--X--3h5---5-5--|--2--X--3h5---5-5--||
E||-----X-------------|--0--X-------------||

I had been looking for this for a while now! so glad I came across it. I changed the first tab just slightly to make it easier to play:

Code: Select all

E|-----------------------------------||
B|-----------------------------------||
G|-----------------2---0-------------||
D|---------0-2---0---3---2---0-2-0---||
A|---0-2-3-----3-----------3---------||
E|-3---------------------------------||

thanks a lot!
